Analysis

CDI-Aerospace offers complete analytical engineering solutions to the aerospace industry. Our capabilities include linear and non-linear finite element analysis, dynamics and component modal synthesis, kinematics, fatigue, damage tolerance, and crack growth analysis, as well as basic classical aircraft stress analysis.

We also provide full structural test support, from simple specimen testing to develop material allowables, to full-scale ultimate testing of large structural assemblies. As a part of the structural substantiation effort we also, as required, support findings of compliance with the pertinent airworthiness authority requirements (FAA, JAA, CAA, etc.). CDI-Aerospace works directly with the client to engineer analysis solutions that work precisely to the project's defined goals and specifications.

Our analysis team uses the latest software tools and technical knowledge to properly identify and evaluate all the possible environments and risks that could impact the component throughout its lifetime of operation. We specialize in commercial, military, and private aircraft primary structures, composites, interiors, landing gear, and systems, as well as engines, nacelles, struts, and all related secondary structural components.

We offer flexibility in software solutions by providing custom GUIs and menu driven parametric design and analysis tools and utilities, with complete software integration, including development with Patran, Nastran, Ansys, Femap, and others. This includes customized programming in VB, Perl, Fortran, PCL, and APDL.

CDI-Aerospace also provides the option of customizing Patran, Nastran, and Ansys using customer specific requirements and/or our own vast libraries of advanced scripts, functions, and macros. CDI-Aerospace also has multiple geometry transfer services available utilizing a variety of geometry engines and file formats.
